Weekly Orange U.A. Meeting Highlights: June 18, 2014

Here are the highlights from the Wednesday night UA Step Study meeting at St. Matthews Church in Orange, CA.

Step 3:  "Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood God."

Question of the Day:
How will I establish earning guidelines and ask my higher power for the willingness and ability to live within them each day?

Here were some reflections this blogger related to:

·         Stop distracting myself from recovery with things I cannot control.
·         Ask Higher Power what my earning plan looks like for today and the power to carry that out.
·         Write out an earning plan
·         Determine my value

Step 3:  "Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood God."

Question of the Day:
In what ways am I willing to adopt a whole new attitude about savings, prosperity, and spending?

Here were some reflections this blogger related to:
·         Higher power is my employer who provides what I need if I keep close and perform his/her work well. (pg 63)
·         I have prosperity through nourishing and displaying my talents and passions in a way that benefits my higher power and fellows.
·         Learn where to set boundaries regarding spending of time, and energy as well as money.
·         My body and life are examples of prosperity.  By nourishing and caring for my body and healthy connections with others, I am making investments in my future.

In What Ways Have I Continued To Seek Comfort In Excessive Underbeing Long After It Stopped Working And Began Affecting My Life?

  • I don't live up to my potential for fear of attention being drawn to me.
  • Fear is comfortable - I know what to expect.
  • I must give myself permission to get better.
  • I have become comfortable with saving others.
  • I overwork/ exhaust because no one can tell me what to do now that I'm an adult.
